A public mapping workshop for Designology at the London Transport Museum
Inspired by my self-initiated project exploring the Knowledge of London I was invited to run a mapping workshop at Beyond the Surface - an evening of interactive debates, talks and workshops about the future of surface transport in the capital.
Participants used a postcode base map to map their collective knowledge of London on layers of tracing paper which layered up to form a huge collective map. Among the landmarks and streets people identified were some of the more curious, subjective sights of London - the Brexit Barrier, the worlds best boy band and various signposts to London's elusive and diminishing affordable housing.
This work is being turned into physical map. Watch this space.
